For ready information, NADRA printed the name of my husband as 'Father's name' on the initial issuance of my CNIC, despite the fact that the name of my husband was rightly written and clearly marked in columns of the prescribed application form.
While seeking correction, the NADRA office at Awami Markaz, Karachi charged me another fee for the correction of the mistake committed by NADRA itself and not by the applicant.
The error done by NADRA, reflecting the wrong information on my CNIC cause me great torture which cannot be evaluated in terms of money. But as a policy matter of justice, NADRA on account of its own should bear the fee and must not charge applicants for the issuance of the corrected version of CNIC.
Will NADRA Headquarter in Islamabad clarify, fix responsibility, comment on the policy matter of such cases in general, and authorise refund of fee paid by me in particular.
